    So vaccination only reduces risk of passing the virus on to unvaccinated member of the household by ~50%. If I understood the study correctly these are vaccinated people that were symptomatic enough to seek testing. Perhaps these individuals have a higher viral load and are more likely to pass it on. Those vaccinated individuals that are asymptomatic and do not seek testing but are infected may be even less likely to pass it on.
