81/27 degrees and sunny in Berkeley, CA — heading for a heatwave with a forecast of 91/32 tomorrow… yikes !

Hi. Just heard you on TWiV #652, Always so much to learn & such a lot we don,t know. A great bouncing round of ideas. Those TWiVers really get to ask great questions. Such great critical analysis. Thank you all.
    But.
Noted a comment that someone couldn,t hear you. I agree & I,m a Brit! Rich speaks clearly and slowly. Explosive consonants (those ‘ t’s) were missed & fast speed meant that words ran in together. This has become normalised in London but makes it much more difficult for other nationals!
I,m an old retired health professional & spent a lifetime learning how to get messages across!
    Good luck.

My test was July 1st and results on July 16

  4. Hi Vincent, just a reminder that ‘sign’ refers to objective evidence of disease (skin rash, cough) whereas ‘symptom’ refers to subjective evidence only apparent to the patient (stomach ache, loss of smell). In most cases, animals can only present signs of disease not symptoms, unless it’s Mr. Ed.
    Yours pedantically,
    Jon

NEWS FLASH! Introducing the worlds oldest and most reliable test for Herd Immunity (no matter what might be providing it)
Increasing new cases means, you ain’t got it!!
(beware of false positives caused by responsible social behavior)
Pass this along to the wishful thinkers…
