I knew Art Kane, the photographer who took the 1958 picture of the jazz musicians!
He had many great stories about his many adventures. The Harlem picture. Another well known photo was of The Who draped in a flag. And chasing down Bob Dylan to the roof of a building in NYC and cornering him till he finally gave up and said: Just take the damn picture. Bob is crouched down in a corner and glaring at the camera.
He did books of fashion photos, nudes, a series of characters in San Francisco’s Strip – strip. LOL
When I knew him, he had a school in Cape May, NJ.
