re MERS in camels this came up in TWiV before re this Lin-fa Wang paper.
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352771415000129
“Dromedary camels were imported to Australia, principally between 1880 and 1907 and have since become a large feral population inhabiting extensive parts of the continent. Here we report that during a focussed surveillance study, no serological evidence was found for the presence of MERS-CoV in the camels in the Australian population.”

is invermectine an effective drug against covid-19?

  3. It would be fantastic if you guys could have one episode that recapitulates and summarizes the previous year’s discussions.

Jan Czarnecki md. Your hero and mine, Dr Fauci, has no spine. Refusing to criticize Israel for not vaccinating Palestinians. I thought not vaccinating poor nations was the weakest link in the whole system

  5. I think you mean *decreased* Ct in the links section?

I’m wondering how many vaccine efforts have led to the ‘disappearance’ of the virus. We’ve learned that vaccination has eliminated small pox virus from circulating in the population….
if true- why was that vaccine effort so effective? Was it because of the number of individuals vaccinated- did it have something to do with the transmissibility before onset of symptoms (or lack thereof). Just curious what we might be able to expect with these types of vaccines. I guess since there are so many in the pipeline…it might be a moot point.
