Thank you for your excellant program. As to why bats do not get rabies although they are carriers of the rabies virus, it might be that the temperature of bats decrease during periods of inactivity. The rabies virus probably likes a T of 98.6 to replicate. Googling “bat temperature” brings up many references to bat temps.
