    Dear esteemed TWIM hosts,
    First of all happy new year and a belated happy birthday to Prof R.
    I saw a thought provoking report in this week’s Nature by Darrah et al on the existing 100 year old tuberculosis vaccine BCG resulting in protection if administered via a different route (IV). If this works it looks like an anecdote to one of the world’s major diseases but it does raise the question why this wasn’t tried before….
