I’m a loyal listener and sometimes donor to TWIX for 18 years. A grand thank you to Vincent and all participants for the TWIX education and entertainment.

Each time I hear you discuss Lyme and other tick born diseases, I hope to hear detail about the often referred to minimum attachment time to transmit (e.g. https://www.cdc.gov/lyme/media/pdfs/Lyme-Disease-What-you-need-to-know.pdfTicks need to be attached for more than 24 hours and begin filling with blood before they can transmit (spread) Lyme disease bacteria.”) If true, this should provide plenty of time for the average person and their partners to look for and find an attached tick. Living and hiking in NW CT for many years, I’m very familiar with the routine.

Who better than the TWIP crew to discuss the step-by-step process of various ticks attaching, injecting their chemical cocktails and drawing blood. Dickson or Daniel often provide this in great detail for Reduvid, Tsetse or mosquito disease transfers.

Just as common sense is surprisingly uncommon, scientific communication is often frighteningly unscientific. Thank you all for being THE SOURCE for factual, no-nonsense and scientific approach to presenting information.

Best Regards,

Frank
