    Greetings, Molecular Wizards 😉
Thank you for the invigorating enthusiasm for explicating such relevant, complicated, and essential modern science for non-scientists and scientists alike! I wish more of our scientific community would bring their excitement for the biological world to the public attention.
But that is not why I am commenting. I have to tell Vincent (may I call you Vincent?) that, based on your recent recommendation, I acquired a copy of John Fuller’s book “Fever! – The Hunt for a New killer Virus”. I thought you would be interested to hear that the 1974 Reader’s Digest hardcover edition has a printed a facsimile of the “Yellow Card” as the front and back endpiece. There is an Atlanta address, a (404) phone number, plus a nights-and-weekend number for the physician to alert the CDC if their patient is suspect for smallpox, yellow fever, plague or cholera. Hits home in the context of the Lassa fever story, and it is an interesting historical footnote relevant to the international public health challenges of today. Would be delighted if Dr. Despommier would share his thoughts on this particular era in the story of global communicable disease.

I have been listening to this podcast every night since the beginning of the pandemic. It was only today that I discovered this wasn’t just a podcast, but a video! I cannot describe how wonderful it was to see all your faces for the first time after “getting to know you” for so long. On seeing you, I felt like I was beaming with such delight and affection for you all. Thank you for your fascinating and insightful discourse. Your intelligent musings probably mean a lot more to people than you might imagine.
