For those interested in XMRV, Rich Condit has some comments at the beginning of this TWiV about ongoing work in the Silverman lab and another lab on the integration sites of XMRV in prostate patient samples. There are no results mentioned in this TWiV, but there is mention of the types of experiments and where and by whom they are being done.
Vince, I love you Science Pick this week. The first image (the one of HIV) is actually my desktop image on my computer. Haha, my friends thought I couldn’t get any nerdier, then they saw my desktop. ^_^
Today while listening to your podcast walking in the Southern German sun (probably the last sunny day this week) I was quite amused that you first mentioned “The emperor of all maladies” which I had on my back (in my backpack) that very moment and then mentioning “A short history of nearly everything” – which lied on my shelf (yes, it is available as a paperback) but also was with me on the Android phone as mp3 audio book – next to your (and some other geeky) podcasts!
